While the jury is out on whether tasers are to be issued to frontline cops, it looks like Glock pistols are being phased out by the
"preferred weapon", Bushmaster semi automatic rifles. At present, these are restricted to the Armed Offender Squad. Not for long, and
Global Peace & Justice are the opposite of impressed.
Fair call too. You can make a lot of mistakes with a Bushmaster. Gotta love the
cop justification for militarisation:
